Introductions
Hello! The Roseland Historical Society is kicking off the new year with a new set of caretakers for the Harrison House. Without further ado, meet . . .
Erich and Sam! Erich is working on his PhD in History & Culture at Drew University, and is excited to use his experience in historical preservation to benefit RHS. Sam has experience working in museums and running programs for the public. She can’t wait to dig into the garden once the weather warms up!
And perhaps most importantly of all . . .
Meet Frankie, the star of the show! (Well, according to Frankie, anyway.) Frankie is a three-legged shorthair cat who found Erich and Sam three years ago at a local animal shelter. He can be shy at first, but he loves to explore. He’s very pleased with the Harrison House so far.
In the coming months, we’ll highlight Frankie’s adventures and see what he gets up to in the Harrison House. Each week, we’ll post a picture of his latest favorite spot, and share a little about the furniture or history he’s uncovered!
And stay tuned: while Frankie explores, Sam and Erich are hard at work putting together plans for photo digitization, a newsletter for members, and some fun new events.
Here’s to a great new year!
