Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!

Frankie, our Harrison House Museum Cat, had a lovely time this afternoon looking out over the grounds. The very first Earth Day happened in 1970, long before Frankie or even the Harrison House Museum were established! It began as a truly American holiday, but since then, many similar days—like World Oceans Day—have taken root across the world. These kinds of holidays are a great chance to give back to the planet, but also a lovely reminder to appreciate what we have . . . here at Harrison House, that means a garden full of daffodils and lilacs on the way. And plenty of birds for Frankie to watch!

You can find out more about Earth Day here. Enjoy!
