Historical Harrison
Like any good Curator Cat, Frankie loves researching the Harrison House!
Did you know a book has been written about the Harrison House? As you can see above, it’s called A Small House in New Jersey: The Harrison House in Roseland and the Family Who Lived There—Williamses, Harrisons, and Teeds, 1824-1976, by Robert Bush.
We love having this resource about the Harrison House, both for ourselves and to share with others. And we’re very lucky to have it at all! Small family houses have been overlooked at times during history, but they are valuable records of day-to-day life and “what it was like” in the past.
And of course you noticed that date, right? 1824! The Harrison House is officially two hundred years old this year. We’ve having a big party this weekend to celebrate—learn more here!
