Roses have come to the Harrison House! Did you know roses have been cultivated as far back as 500 BCE? Many cultures considered roses symbolic or important. Most of our modern roses developed after 1867 (roses known before that year are considered “Old World Roses”) and therefore very likely did grace the Harrison House back in the day!
In honor of Roseland and the long history of roses, we’re revitalizing our formal garden with a hardy new rose species. If you’d like to be part of our effort, check out this flyer:
